Protein extraction kit, bacterial PE LB™
Supplier: G Bioscienes
Bacterial PE LB™ kit has been developed for the extraction of biologically active soluble proteins, including recombinant proteins and inclusion bodies, from bacterial cells. Bacterial PE LB™ is a proprietary improvement on the lysozyme based lysis method, which allows extraction of soluble proteins and concurrent removal of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) released during cell lysis. The Bacterial PE LB™ lysis system eliminates viscosity build-up, allowing effective clarification with lower centrifugal forces.
- Supplied as a complete kit containing a specific lysozyme and nuclease preparation
- Eliminates laborious mechanical lysis
- Eliminates removal of nucleic acids
- Eliminates viscosity build-up
- Suitable for processing 100×50 µl bacterial cell pellets
Bacterial PE LB™ is based on organic buffering agents and utilises a mild non-ionic detergent, chelating agent, and a proprietary combination of various salts and agents to enhance extraction and stability of proteins. Depending on the required downstream application, additional agents such as reducing agents and protease inhibitors may be added into Bacterial PE LB™. Bacterial PE LB™ has been tested for use with several widely used bacterial strains
Delivery information: Bacterial PE LB™ is supplied as a kit which contains all of the reagents needed to perform protein extraction. The kit includes PE LB™ Lysozyme, which is a modified lysozyme preparation that contains nucleases and results in optimal lysis and minimal contamination. Bacterial PE LB™ buffer is also available separately for further downstream applications.
