Poly(caprolactone)
Polycaprolactone (PCL) is a semi crystalline hydrophobic polyester. Act as a drug delivery agent and when loaded with antibiotics it is used to treat infections of the respiratory tract, like tuberculosis.
- Non-toxic
- Good adhesion to a broad spectrum of substrates
- Broad miscibility
PCL are generally used as a extrusion aid, die lubricant, pigment and filler dispersion aid, mold release, polyester segments in urethanes and block polyesters.
