Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: Adenosine diphosphate, abbreviated ADP, is a nucleoside diphosphate. It is an ester of pyrophosphoric acid with the nucleosideadenosine. ADP consists of the pyrophosphate group, the pentose sugar ribose, and the nucleobase adenine. ADP is the product of ATP dephosphorylation by ATPases. ADP is converted back to ATP by ATP synthases. ATP is an important energy transfer molecule in cells.

Description: Phenolphthalein bisphosphate tetrasodium salt has been used as a component of modified Baird Parker (BP) agar to determine the expression of phosphatases of Staphylococcus aureus ATCC12600. It also been used as a component of modified Tryptose phosphate/phenolphthalein/methyl green (M-TPMG) agar to detect enteroinvasive Escherichia coli (EIEC) apyrase activity.

Description: Geranyl pyrophosphate is an intermediate in the mevalonate pathway. It is formed from dimethylallyl pyrophosphate (DMAPP) and isopentenyl pyrophosphate by geranyl pyrophosphate synthase.

Catalog Number: (PRSI91-989)
Supplier: ProSci Inc.
Description: Inosine Triphosphate Pyrophosphatase (ITPase) is a cytoplasmic enzyme that belongs to the HAM1 NTPase family. ITPase hydrolyses the non-canonical purine nucleotides inosine triphosphate (ITP) and deoxyinosine triphosphate (dITP) to the monophosphate nucleotide (IMP) and diphosphate. The ITPase enzyme acts as a homodimer and does not distinguish between the deoxy- and ribose forms. ITPase probably excludes non-canonical purines from RNA and DNA precursor pools, thus preventing their incorporation into RNA and DNA and avoiding chromosomal lesions. Defects in ITPase is thought to be inherited and is characterised by an over-accumulation of ITP in erythocytes, leukocytes and fibroblasts.

Description: Guanosine is a purine nucleoside comprising guanine attached to a ribose (ribofuranose) ring via a β-N9-glycosidic bond. Guanosine can be phosphorylated to become guanosine monophosphate (GMP), cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), guanosine diphosphate (GDP), and guanosine triphosphate (GTP). These forms play important roles in various biochemical processes such as synthesis of nucleic acids and proteins, photosynthesis, muscle contraction and intracellular signal transduction (cGMP). When guanine is attached by its N9 nitrogen to the C1 carbon of adeoxyribose ring it is known as deoxyguanosine.
Guanosine is required for an RNA splicing reaction in mRNA, when a "self-splicing" intron removes itself from the mRNA message by cutting at both ends, re-ligating, and leaving just the exons on either side to be translated into protein. The antiviral drug aciclovir, often used in herpes treatment, is structurally similar to guanosine.

Description: FDP (fluorescein diphosphate, tetraammonium salt, high purity) is the most sensitive fluorogenic alkaline phosphatase substrate. It is also an excellent substrate for protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTPase) and thus the substrate of choice in the high throughput screening (HTS) for PTPase inhibitor. FDP itself is colorless, but the end product of the enzymatic reaction is the green fluorescent dye fluorescein.
