Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-5190R-HRP)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: ATF4 is a transcription factor that was originally identified as a widely expressed mammalian DNA binding protein that could bind a tax-responsive enhancer element in the LTR of HTLV1. The encoded protein was also isolated and characterized as the cAMP-response element binding protein 2 (CREB2). The protein encoded by this gene belongs to a family of DNA-binding proteins that includes the AP1 family of transcription factors, cAMP-response element binding proteins (CREBs) and CREB-like proteins. These transcription factors share a leucine zipper region that is involved in protein-protein interactions, located C-terminal to a stretch of basic amino acids that functions as a DNA binding domain (referenced from Entrez gene).

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-13225R)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Activation of FUSE, the far-upstream element, is required for the proper ex-pression of the mammalian gene c-Myc in undifferentiated cells. The binding of FBP (FUSE-binding protein or Far upstream element binding protein) to FUSE is necessary for c-Myc expression, indicating that FBP functions as a growth-dependent regulator of c-Myc expression. Isolated from proliferating HL60 cells, FBP, FBP2, and FBP3 comprise a family of single-stranded DNA-binding proteins that specifically bind to FUSE elements. The FBP transcription factors share a conserved central DNA-binding domain and show significant homology in their carboxyl-terminal activation domains. Expression of FBP is detected in undifferentiated cells and is substantially decreased following cellular differentiation.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-8452R-A488)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: SNAPC3 is part of the SNAPc complex required for the transcription of both RNA polymerase II and III small-nuclear RNA genes. SNAPC3 binds to the proximal sequence element (PSE), a non-TATA-box basal promoter element common to these 2 types of genes. SNAPC3 recruits TBP and BRF2 to the U6 snRNA TATA box.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-1668R-HRP)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Transcription factor essential for hepatocyte growth, the differentiation of plasma cells, the immunoglobulin secretion, and the unfolded protein response (UPR). Acts during endoplasmic reticulum stress (ER) by activating unfolded protein response (UPR) target genes via direct binding to the UPR element (UPRE). Binds DNA preferably to the CRE-like element 5'-GATGACGTG[TG]N(3)[AT]T-3', and also to some TPA response elements (TRE). Binds to the HLA DR-alpha promoter. Binds to the Tax-responsive element (TRE) of HTLV-I.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-5977R-A555)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Acts as a transcriptional activator or repressor. Involved in embryonic lens fiber cell development. Recruits the transcriptional coactivators CREBBP and/or EP300 to crystallin promoters leading to up-regulation of crystallin gene during lens fiber cell differentiation. Activates the expression of IL4 in T helper 2 (Th2) cells. Increases T-cell susceptibility to apoptosis by interacting with MYB and decreasing BCL2 expression. Together with PAX6, transactivates strongly the glucagon gene promoter through the G1 element. Activates transcription of the CD13 proximal promoter in endothelial cells. Represses transcription of the CD13 promoter in early stages of myelopoiesis by affecting the ETS1 and MYB cooperative interaction. Involved in the initial chondrocyte terminal differentiation and the disappearance of hypertrophic chondrocytes during endochondral bone development. Binds to the sequence 5'-[GT]G[GC]N[GT]NCTCAGNN-3' in the L7 promoter. Binds to the T-MARE (Maf response element) sites of lens-specific alpha- and beta-crystallin gene promoters. Binds element G1 on the glucagon promoter. Binds an AT-rich region adjacent to the TGC motif (atypical Maf response element) in the CD13 proximal promoter in endothelial cells (By similarity). When overexpressed, represses anti-oxidant response element (ARE)-mediated transcription. Involved either as an oncogene or as a tumor suppressor, depending on the cell context. Binds to the ARE sites of detoxifying enzyme gene promoters.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-0665R-FITC)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Plays a central role during gametogenesis by repressing transposable elements and preventing their mobilization, which is essential for the germline integrity. Acts via the piRNA metabolic process, which mediates the repression of transposable elements during meiosis by forming complexes composed of piRNAs and Piwi proteins and govern the methylation and subsequent repression of transposons. Directly binds methylated piRNAs, a class of 24 to 3 nucleotide RNAs that are generated by a Dicer-independent mechanism and are primarily derived from transposons and other repeated sequence elements. Besides their function in transposable elements repression, piRNAs are probably involved in other processes during meiosis such as translation regulation (By similarity).
