Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: 2,2-Azino-bis-(3-ethyl-benzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) has been used as a chromogenic substrate for horseradish peroxidase (HRP), both in general activity assays and in ELISA applications. Activity of HRP using ABTS appears about four-fold higher than using pyrogallol. It is mainly used as a substrate in sensitive peroxidase assays.
2,2′-Azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) is a peroxidase substrate suitable for use in ELISA procedures. This substrate produces a soluble end product that is green in color and can be read spectrophotometrically at 405 nm. The reaction may be stopped with 1% sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). Recommended for ELISA (microwell) procedures, not recommended for membrane applications.

Supplier: Thermo Fisher Scientific
Description: Thermo Scientific Pierce coomassie brilliant blue dyes are composed of one of the most common forms of coomassie dye, which is a key component of various colorimetric protein gel stains. Coomassie R-250 and G-250 dyes are two chemical forms of a disulphonated triphenylmethane compound that is commonly used as the basis of stains for detection of proteins in gel electrophoresis and bradford-type assay reagents for protein quantitation. The R-250 (red-tinted) form lacks two methyl groups that are present in the G-250 (green-tinted) form, which is also called colloidal coomassie dye.
Supplier: SIGMA ALDRICH MICROSCOPY

Description: Methyl green zinc chloride salt, Sigma-Aldrich®

Supplier: SIGMA ALDRICH MICROSCOPY
Description: Methyl green is a synthetic, triphenylmethane-type cationic dye related to ethyl green mainly used as DNA stain in histochemistry. It possesses aniline rings with different degrees of methylation. The dye binds specifically to the A-T rich regions of the major groove of DNA with the help of two positive charges. Methyl green in combination with pyronin is extensively used to stain RNA and plasma cells in tissue sections and cytologic preparations.

Supplier: SIGMA ALDRICH MICROSCOPY
Description: Methyl Green is a triphenylmethane dye which is mainly used in combination with pyronin. It is suitable for the detection of DNA and RNA. Used in the Methyl Green-Pyronin methods to demonstrate DNA and RNA in tissue sections.
